The DI (Development Informatics) function has 2 Internship opportunities available. The successful interns will have the opportunity to assist in the creation of business value for Drug Development by leveraging technology.
Major Activities:
• Suggest innovative ideas / discussion, works on Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Evaluate new technological developments and evolving business requirements and make recommendations for improved service levels and efficiencies
• Provide input to project proposals related to new technologies/innovations. Structure problem domain and drive/define data, process, functional, and architectural requirements
• Identify potential solution options, defining selection criteria; establishing prototypes; and driving requirements ensuring alignment with delivery of business values, solution architecture; solution design
• Drive implementation of new/enhanced solution. Ensure that the architecture satisfies defined performance, security, and availability parameters
• Provide in-depth technical input to ensure efficient design, programming and implementation
• Experience in agile or hybrid System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a plus
• Good understanding of IT solution Delivery processes
Requirements:
• Proficient skills in teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, working in a matrix environment and conflict resolution
• Business Analyst and/or technology/solution skills
• Good understanding of one or more technology (s)
• Great at execution of assigned activities
• Participate in innovation discussions, support innovation related PoCs
Minimum requirements To be considered for an internship, the following requirements apply- in addition to any others specified with the job description:
• Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited College or University with at least Freshman year completed
• Ideal candidate would be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet timelines
• Interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint
• Team player with excellent customer focus
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Must be available to work a minimum of 12 weeks, full time
