During the summer of 2015 the student-run Malini Club at Penn State is organizing two enriching international summer experiences in Sri Lanka. With a focus on global engagement and social entrepreneurship, students will travel to Sri Lanka as part of the following programs: Rethinking Gender, Globalization and Poverty (study tour) and Exploring Leadership through Community Development (internships). The programs encourage students to think critically about international development and volunteering.
There will be an information session on Monday, January 26th at 6pm at the Grandfather Clock Lounge in the Schreyer Honors College (Atherton Hall). Liberal Arts students are welcome to join!
You do not have to be an honors student to participate. During the information session, students will find out more about the Malini Foundation’s work, the summer trip (including cost and scholarship information), and hear from former Malini Summer Fellows.
