Vanguard Hiring University Relations Coordinator
Purpose:
To support Vanguard’s college recruiting attraction initiatives through logistical and administrative support of the department’s objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates Vanguard’s participation in job fairs, on-campus and on-site interview schedules and employer information sessions. Makes necessary reservations and coordinates recruiter and business line participation. Gathers and prepares appropriate materials for use at recruiting events.
- Acts as point of contact for college and university organizations specifically for the successful coordination of all events through facilitation of conference calls and site visits. This would also include the development of new relationships in support of talent attraction strategy.
- Supports research and compiles data to ensure compatibility with Vanguard’s hiring requirements.
- Responds to phone and written inquiries (e.g. Application process, Vanguard Career Events, etc.) from internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Administers and maintains employment recruiting schedules for colleges, diversity and other internal business partners using appropriate tools.
- Organizes, and distributes resumes to appropriate employment contacts.
- Works with College Relations Administrators in support the college strategy for targeted schools and organizations.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 3.0 GPA
- Preferred two years general experience and one year industry experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to navigate web.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight time frames
Special Factors:
Crew member must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Items may include recruitment displays, suitcases, boxes of recruitment materials. Overtime required during peak/busy times.

The assignment would start as soon as possible for recent graduates or May (after graduation) and would be in Malvern, PA at our headquarters. The contract would likely last through the end of the year or the end of the next school year (Dec 2015 or May 2016 possibly with the option of extending). *Please note – The person hired last summer has just accepted a position at Vanguard within another department!!
