Want hands-on experience with a start-up nonprofit?
Want the chance at possibly receiving an internship for the summer?
Want to volunteer with local foster youth to help make their lives a little brighter?
Come to our first DreamTeen meeting on Thursday, November 5th, at 7pm in 258 Willard!
DreamTeen Club supports the 501c(3) DreamTeen nonprofit that a current Penn State undergraduate founded in 2014. DreamTeen aims to raise enough money and receive enough donations to implement their first DreamOrlando program in 2016. DreamOrlando brings foster teens from group homes on an all expense paid vacation to Disney World. After each trip, DreamTeen then thrives to become the life-long “family” these youth sadly have never had.
This club will provide students with real world experience in promotion, fundraising, service, and event planning, volunteer hours with local foster children, leadership experience, and it will strengthen students’ abilities to think critically, work independently, collaborate with a team, communicate effectively with peers as well as professionals, and learn about one of the most neglected populations in the U.S.
Hope to see you there!
