Independence Blue Cross – External Affairs-College Intern Summer 2016
The External Affairs Intern will have the opportunity to work with PR Managers and Specialists as well as the team’s leaders on numerous PR projects as well as contribute to executive communications initiatives by attending staff meetings, project briefings, and brainstorming sessions.
Depending upon the strengths, skills, and interests of the intern, he/she would be assigned tasks that may range from drafting media alerts and/or press releases, creating media lists, developing media pitches, coordinating with Social Media team to expand promotion, creating materials for media kits and other mediums, including fact sheets with current industry and company stats, creating and/or updating key bios, coordinating photo shoots for executives with outdated photos on file, assisting with special events planning, monitoring media, and more.

Samsung – Digital Communications (Corporate Reputation)
Requested intern will help the Digital Communication team, supporting teams overall US Newsroom management, working with Content Studio team on developing Samsungs reputation building articles/editorials and providing administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Details:
In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
- Overall Samsung US Newsroom coordination (uploading news releases and media asset contents content calendar management)
- Researching /collecting information/assets for Newsroom contents
- Work with content studio team and other PR teams for newsroom update
- Social media channel coordination
- Ad Hoc project coordination / support
- Manage US Corporate Twitter account
- Online analytics and reporting
- Administrative tasks

Borton-Lawson – Human Resources Intern
This position will provide support to our human resources department. This opportunity will allow the candidate to work alongside talented professionals while contributing to challenging HR work related projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide project and administrative support as needed.
- Purge inactive employee files.
- Assist with researching and preparing documents for corporate training initiatives.
- Filing and scanning employee documents
- Assist with recruitment activities with phone screens, reference checks and scheduling interviews.
