The Undergraduate Admissions Office at University Park is offering social media and multimedia internships for the Fall 2016 semester. Interns will work with the Marketing Communications Team to produce text, photo and video content for our student blogs and social media outlets. All students are encouraged to apply, regardless of major or academic year; first-year students will be given full consideration.
Communications Intern; Web, Social Media, and Publications- Concern Worldwide (Deadline 4/18)
Concern Worldwide U.S. is currently recruiting for its 2016 Summer Internship Program. The Summer Internship Program is an excellent opportunity for students to work alongside Concern’s staff and experience the many mechanisms that come together to create an effective organization, while gaining exposure to Concern Worldwide’s vision and mission.
As a Concern Worldwide US intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain exposure to the breadth of Concern’s portfolio of work which includes emergency response, climate response and resilience, and health & nutrition. Through your day to day assignment, as well as experiential learning opportunities such as brown bag presentations and informational meetings with members of Concern’s senior management team, your internship will provide you with an opportunity to work on engaging, high impact projects for a large international NGO.
Riverside Park PR Intern- NYC Parks Department (Deadline 5/8)
The Riverside Park PR Intern will draft press releases for the Summer on the Hudson season and, after review and approval by the Director of Programming, send releases to media outlets. The PR intern will also be responsible for compiling the press book for the season, crafting and front loading Tweets and Facebook updates, and drafting email blasts.
Public Affairs, Marketing, and Communications Intern- EverPower Wind Holdings Inc. (Deadline 5/8)
The Public Affairs, Marketing & Communications Intern will assist with various marketing, advertising, public relations and social media activities throughout the company. He or she will also coordinate with project managers, senior staff and outside vendors to assist with the planning and staffing of special events, creating and updating marketing materials, writing press releases and community outreach.
Various Internships- National Organization for Women (Deadline 6/3)
Communications Team: Research, draft and edit articles for NOW’s various publications (including the blog), email communications (including advocacy, fundraising, and monthly newsletters) and social media platforms. Assist with developing comprehensive messaging for cross-organizational purposes, including calendar for internal use. Work with the Senior Communications Associate and the Field Team to develop social media campaigns and content for chapter use. Work with the Senior Communications Associate to produce daily content for various social media platforms, namely Facebook and Twitter. Track media hits and update press clips on website. Coordinate projects for the NOW Foundation’s Love Your Body campaign. At events with NOW officers, take photographs and video (when appropriate).
