Job Description
The Business Development Analyst (“BD Analyst”) position constitutes an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Business Development department of a complex civil and criminal financial litigation law firm. BD Analysts enjoy high levels of responsibility working alongside attorneys and the Business Development team to support global business growth and strategy. General duties include, among others, conducting legal and factual research for potential new matters, performing competitive intelligence research, developing knowledge regarding potential clients, preparing attorneys for client meetings, conducting client and market research and analysis, assisting with the preparation of RFPs and pitch materials, preparing the firm’s submissions to legal rankings, planning and attending quarterly product group meetings, monitoring new sources for applicable articles related to the firm, current clients, and referral sources, and overall support for the Business Development department.

Job Qualifications
Candidates should possess a four-year college degree, a strong GPA, and excellent writing, research, teamwork, and communication skills. Applications are strongly encouraged from self-confident, highly-motivated individuals displaying a broad range of academic, professional and extracurricular interests, particularly in the marketing or communications field. Successful BD Analysts have the ability to work independently, prioritize successfully under tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. BD Analysts are expected to remain with the firm for a minimum of two years.

Argumentative research papers written for college courses or journalistic articles written for a publication are preferred; however, anything else that best reflects your writing skills, analytical abilities, and critical reasoning is also acceptable.
