Attention freshmen and all minority students, are you thinking of adding a major in a science field? Would you like to work in a research lab at Penn State? If so, you should consider applying for an undergraduate scholarship!
The NASA/Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium offers 3 scholarships for undergraduate students, including:
- WISER: Women in Science & Engineering Research (open to all freshmen women)
- MURE: Minority Undergraduate Research Experience (open to African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander)
- FURP: Freshman Undergraduate Research Program (open to all freshmen, those with economic hardship encouraged to apply
Details: To apply you must be a US citizen, able to work 5 hours per week in a lab, and be eligible for one of the programs. You will receive a stipend!
Majoring in one of the following Colleges?
- Engineering
- Agricultural Science
- Earth and Mineral Science
- Information Sciences and Technology
- Liberal Arts (Anthropology, Psychology)
- Health and Human Development
- Eberly College of Science (Biology, Physics, Biochem)
- Education
