Cargill and the Institute of International Education (IIE) are pleased to announce the launch of the 2016-2017 Cargill Global Scholars Program application cycle. As a valued partner university of the Cargill Global Scholars Program, we are very pleased that a Pennsylvania State University student was selected as a scholar for the 2015 U.S. cohort.
We look forward to receiving more applications for this year’s competition from eligible Pennsylvania State University students who:
- Are in their freshman or sophomore year of undergraduate studies
- Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential
Students in the following fields of interest are encouraged to apply:
- Agriculture Related Fields
- Business
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Engineering
- Food Science
- International Relations
- Political Science
- Public Policy
Application Deadline: March 1, 2017
Ten scholars will be chosen in the United States for the fifth cohort of the Cargill Global Scholars Program. The scholars
will receive:
- Annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years
- Fully funded travel and participation to attend two Leadership Development Seminars held during Summer 2017 and Summer 2018
- In-person networking with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia
- One-on-one mentorship from Cargill executives in the United States and abroad
