In today’s marketplace, the use of social media is integral in any successful organization. That is why it is important for graduates looking for positions to have experience with social media. Having experience and knowledge on marketing a product or organization through social media could really make an applicant stand out from the crowd.
Students participating in summer internships are encouraged to apply for enrichment funding, but be sure you get your applications in on time. The summer priority deadline is May 1st and the FINAL summer deadline is June 1st. Students can find out more about enrichment funds and apply through the Career Enrichment Network website.

Digital Marketing Internship- McCrossin Constructors
The internship will provide an open canvas to create, experiment and lead the McCrossin Constructors’ corporate digital marketing efforts into new areas. This position will provide an opportunity to utilize past studies while promoting vision and outside the box school of thought. As the Digital Marketing Intern, you will assist the Business Development Manager with the implementation of McCrossin online marketing efforts related to website management, email campaigns, mobile marketing, and search engine optimization as well as assist with all related digital marketing projects and initiatives.

Social Media/ Office Management Internship- Alliance for American Manufacturing
The Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM), a non-partisan public policy organization focused on domestic manufacturing, labor and international trade issues, seeks a full-time intern to assist in the communications and administrative operations of the organization. The intern will split his or her time between these departments. The candidate should be a current undergraduate or graduate student (recently graduated undergrads will also be considered) with interest in progressive policy issues, proven written communications abilities, and great web and social media skills.

Social Media Internship- Penn State Undergraduate Admissions
The Undergraduate Admissions Office at University Park is offering social media and multimedia internships for the Fall 2017 semester. Interns will work with the Marketing Communications Team to produce text, photo and video content for our student blogs and social media outlets. Penn State World Campus Brand Marketing Team is seeking a social media intern to assist in the development, curation, and management of social media content. The ideal candidate is someone who has proven experience executing a communication plan across various social media channels, exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, team building/cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience with social media content development and curation. Experience adapting content to different social media platforms – including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest, and Instagram – and creating analytic reporting to make effective decisions will be highly valued.

Public Relations/Social Media Marketing Internship- National Aquarium
The selected Public Relations and Social Media intern assist the Marketing Department with public relations and social media communications. The essential functions include:
- Assist with writing, proofreading and distributing press materials (i.e. press releases, calendar listings, media advisories, fact sheets, etc.)
- Assist with the coordination of media visits to the Aquarium (i.e. escorting film crews, arranging staff interviews, managing photo shoots, etc.)
- Assist with content creation for social media (i.e. blog posts, photos of new animals/exhibits)
