The English Department is pleased to announce that the Digital English Studio is now available in 130 Burrowes for English Department use.
Open to faculty, lecturers, and grad students alike, the Studio is comprised of two spaces: 1) a video interview recording room that sports Penn State’s super easy- to-use One Button technology and 2) a main room stocked with computers geared toward video editing, multimedia production, and more. The main room also has a Skype enabled large screen TV for video-conferencing.
The Studio seeks to do many things. It exists to support the Department’s efforts in the digital humanities, understood broadly to include digital scholarship, digital pedagogy, digital rhetoric and more. It also exists to facilitate media production for Department members, whether it be a video interview with a visiting scholar, lecturer, or creative writer, or a video promo for a course you’re teaching or a project you’re working on.
In short, there is much that can be done with the Studio, and much more to discover.
