The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is seeking full-time and part-time Organizing Fellows to join the Democratic coordinated campaign on Campus. The coordinated campaign will play a critical role in helping to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Pennsylvania this year: from helping Legislative campaigns in targeted state house and state senate seats all the way up to the campaign for President.
Organizing Fellows will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteer operations for the campaign to register, persuade, and motivate voters. Ideal candidates are hard-working, self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with an ability to hit metrics-based goals, build relationships with volunteers, and turn out voters. Organizing fellows will report to their Organizer in their assigned region on Campus. This position is unpaid.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting and managing volunteers and volunteer teams
- Training volunteers one-on-one and in group settings
- Building and managing volunteer canvass and phone bank events
- Engaging supporters via social media to recruit volunteers
- Persuading voters to support Democratic candidates up and down the ticket
- Executing an aggressive Get Out the Vote operation in your area
