These courses have an international travel component, and are a great opportunity to experience another culture and country with Penn State students and faculty. Students will be traveling to Israel to visit multiple historic sites, and meet with stakeholders from both Palestine and Israel.
ANTH 197- Special Topics (The Anthropology of Alcohol)

Embedded Travel to Scotland over Spring Break 2017
The Anthropology of Alcohol will be a course that utilizes a four-field approach to investigating one of the world’s earliest and most utilized psychoactive drugs. The goal of ANTH140 is to provide students with an introduction to the field of anthropology, a discipline that enables one to study any and every aspect of humans. The embedded travel to Scotland will be an 8 day program which uses cities across Scotland and Scottish Culture as a backdrop to explore the anthropology of alcohol.

Embedded travel to Poland over Spring Break 2017
Students will travel to Warsaw, Oświęcim, and Krakow. Students will be visiting the Warsaw Ghetto, Auschwitz, and the Jewish Museum in Oświęcim.
