Do you want to solve big problems like poverty or inequality? Have you been or are you, working locally to help victims of violence, provide scholarships for students, or ensure that animals find a forever home?

If you want to solve problems, whether big or small, worldwide or local, you might be interested in a career in fundraising or development. This summer Penn State will launch LA 404, Careers in Fundraising and Development.  You will learn about career paths available from front-line fundraising to data analysis and research to event planning and stewardship to talent management.

You will also learn about the nonprofit sector and about professional ethics and legal matters. Students will have an opportunity to review position descriptions and write a cover letter and resume that could be submitted to a prospective employer.
