Penn State has been selected as one of 25 campuses worldwide to participate in the newly minted Millennium Fellowship. The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development program for undergraduates that convenes, challenges, and celebrates bold student leadership advancing UN goals. 8-20 Millennium Fellows will be selected from each campus hub to hone skills, take concrete action, and earn certificates of recognition from United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and Millennium Campus Network (MCN). The leadership development program will ultimately take place here at Penn State and is self-run by the students. More information on this exciting opportunity can be found here: https://www.millenniumfellows.org/fellowship/.
Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Competitive applicants are individuals who “lead by example – with empathy, humility, and inclusion as guiding values.” These applicants should be individuals who “embrace global citizenship” and they should be prepared to talk about their passion and motivation for social change. (More here: https://www.millenniumfellows.org/faqs/.) Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning May 31st through July 15th.
If you have any questions, you are encouraged to contact Sam Vaghar (svaghar@mcnpartners.org), executive director of the MCN.
