What are your biggest strengths?
Posted By: Career Enrichment Network
Can you answer that question? It is one of the most common ones asked during interviews and one of the toughest to answer. The Career Enrichment Network has a tool to assist you with this: the StrengthsFinder Assessment will help with discovering and understanding your strengths and talents.
Completing the assessment will provide you with a list of your “top five” signature themes, which can help you enhance the behaviors that lead to success. You will be able to focus on your strengths and understand how they can translate into a career or post-graduate education plan. You can also meet with a Network staff member to review your results and learn how to leverage your strengths as you work towards your goals.
This tool is free for all undergraduate students with at least one major in the College of the Liberal Arts at University Park. To request a code, click here.

Boren Awards fund U.S. undergraduate and graduate language study and research abroad in world regions critical to U.S. national interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East). The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.
The Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 for undergraduate students for language‐focused study abroad.
Webinars on aspects of the Boren Awards, including special regional initiatives and components of the application are scheduled throughout the fall and spring. Sign up today at www.borenawards.org/webinars.html. Additional information on preferred countries, languages, and fields of study can be found at www.borenawards.org.
The Penn State University Fellowships Office deadline for the Boren Scholarship is January 16, 2018. Application Process: The university is required to review all applications, so there is an internal deadline of January 16th. Applicants will have a chance to revise their materials, if necessary, prior to final submission in February. Visit the University Fellowships Office website for more details.
