- University of Bristol Summer Institute, Slavery and the Atlantic Heritage
- University of Exeter Summer Institute, Issues in Climate Change
- Wales Summer Institute, Contemporary Wales: Industry, Politics, Culture and Change
Applications due March 5th
- Durham University Summer Institute, The Northern Borders of Empire to the Making of the Middle Ages
- King’s College London Summer Institute, Leading, Inventing and Reinventing: Britain Past and Present
- Nottingham Trent University Summer Institute, Creativity, Culture, History, and Heritage
- Queen’s University Belfast Summer Institute, Understanding Ireland: Northern Perspectives
- Scotland Summer Institute, Scotland: Identity, Culture and Innovation
The US-UK Fulbright Commission funds first and second year American students to take part in one of nine summer institutes in the UK. This includes airfare, accommodation, tuition and fees, meals and could also include a small daily stipend. Applications are due February 26th and March 5th depending on which program you choose.
With nine programs to choose from, there is a topic for every liberal arts student!
