CRIM 201 – The Social Science of Wrongful Conviction (GS) – ONLINE -Starts 7/1/15
Over 1,500 individuals in the United States have been convicted of crimes that they did not commit. Wrongful convictions impact the wrongfully accused, crime victims, and society as a whole. Using the lens of social science students in this course will examine cases in the United States criminal justice system that have ended with the conviction of the innocent. The course includes video lectures, expert interviews, and the potential to interact with thousands of virtual classmates across the globe through the Coursera platform.
